On Weirdness
Me: I have low self-esteem for others. Sometimes, people are not cool enough to understand what you're into. But, I guess, you know, people surprise you sometimes
CB: you're cooler than you think you are!
smurfrevolt: Example, they don't get why I like Niccolo Machiavelli. They were like, "Yuck!" when I was reading "The Prince" during study period!!! It's the "How to gain friends and influence people" of the European Princes of the Middle Ages, or the Renaissance (whenever Machiavelli lived).
CB: Amazing how different some people are. But I like people who are weird in a good way. You know what I mean? They seem to exist in another world. I like weirdness.
smurfrevolt: I know! Hmmm, but not really "weirdness." It's really more of uniqueness and identity. People who think certain people are weird--they are the conventional ones. The "weird" ones, are the real people who know what they want and know who they are, or are at least searching for what they want or who they are.
smurfrevolt: right?
CB: True! I am often attracted to them. You know this Kate Winslet song, What If?

Eric: I'm almost numb enough to start something on the rebound... what do you say?
